Effective starting April 2026. Please read these terms carefully to understand your rights and obligations while using the Giftisan platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Giftisan platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
2. Platform Roles
Giftisan is a curated marketplace connecting independent Egyptian artisans (Sellers) with clients (Buyers). Giftisan facilitates transactions, discovery, and payment escrow, while makers craft and fulfill their creations directly.
3. Artisan Responsibilities
Artisans must ensure all products are authentically handcrafted or bespoke. They are responsible for accurate descriptions, packaging, and fulfilling orders in a timely manner. Giftisan reserves the right to moderate listings that violate our quality standards.
4. Payments, Escrow & Fees
Giftisan processes transactions through certified payment gateways (including Paymob, credit cards, and mobile wallets). Customer payments are held securely and released to the artisan's withdrawable balance 7 days following confirmed delivery. For the 2026 season, Giftisan operates with 0% platform commission for all registered Founding Artisans.
5. Intellectual Property
Artisans retain full ownership of their original designs and craft. By listing products, artisans grant Giftisan a non-exclusive license to feature product photography for marketing, spotlights, and promotional campaigns.
